Our neighbor will tell you about how he used to skip school as a child to go fishing all day, much to his mother's dismay. Locals and vacationers alike definitely both love to fish our pristine waters out here, and who wouldn't? If you have a fishing license and a rod, you are ready to go. If not, consider a guided trip which provides all of the equipment! There is fishing literally minutes from the cabins in all directions. Creeks here are stocked periodically throughout the year with trout, and bass and catfish can be caught in the French Broad River. C&H Fishing Supplies is located less than half a mile from Little Bird Cabins and has all of the fishing supplies you are likely to need. They are fantastic small local business located at 257 Mountain Heights Avenue in Hot Springs.
