About Chickadee Cabin

Chickadee Cabin offers cozy and convenient lodging that is steps from the famous Appalachian Trail and a short one minute drive from Hot Springs' restaurants, shops, and mineral tubs.

This is an ideal cabin for a couple wanting a romantic mountain retreat or honeymoon getaway! The master bedroom features a jetted Whirlpool tub nested next to a large window facing the woods.  There are two single beds available in common area if the kids or your friends will be joining. The large covered front porch is perfect for enjoying a sunrise mug of coffee, sunset glass of wine, or spending a lazy afternoon watching the songbirds flit about in the trees.

The space

Enjoy the flowers and butterfly visitors in our cabin’s pollinator gardens!

Chickadee Cabin’s master bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress topper and a whirlpool jetted tub for relaxing evenings.

The well-stocked kitchenette includes a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, InstantPot, heat induction plate (aka a fancy plug-in stove burner), toaster, coffee maker (of course!), sink, flatware, dishes, a cutting board, and knives.

On the covered porch there is a Weber charcoal grill for burgers and veggies! There is also a table and seating for four.

We pride ourselves on our VERY CLEAN cabin. Just check out our reviews!

ADJACENT CABIN
Chickadee shares a wall with an adjacent cabin (Goldfinch). Each cabin has its own private parking and private entrance. Shared wall is soundproofed for privacy.

"Tucked right up in the sweet town of Hot Springs and steps from the Appalachian trail-This cabin was perfect for a little getaway. Plus we were able to walk eveywhere like the Hot Springs Resort and to Smoky's Diner for breakfast! The luxiourious whirlpool bath tub was a great way to relax! I highly recommend this spot to anyone coming to the area!!"  -Camille

"Natalie's place was quaint, quiet, clean, simply sweet (as she is also!). We were able to hike on the AT, play in the nearby falls, walk to the cute town, cuddle up and watch one of her many movies, and play games and have morning coffee on the porch nestled in the beautiful yard . We were also able to cook simple meals with her crock pot and microwave which for us is an important savings!! Thanks Natalie. We WILL return!" -Susan

"This place was so perfect for me, just far away from town to be in town. Sitting on a lovely side street nice quiet little spot, the Appalachian Trail crossing in front of this home. We met several of the walkers very interesting stories about their experiences on the trail. Loved it!"   -Debbie

"This cabin was absolutely perfect and a hikers' paradise! It has a little mud room at the entrance which was perfect for all our wet gear. There were also hooks everywhere which was perfect for us! The patio even had a line to pull out for wet clothes. Beds were so comfortable and we even had extra blankets. We came in on a really wet and cold day to hike and Natalie was so great to let us check in early. Definitely would recommend!!" -Mallory

"Awoke to the sweet sound of birds singing in our aptly named Little Bird Cabin. Lovely and cozy little house 20 yards from the AT and a 5-minute walk to the cute town of Hot Springs. Natale was a great host responsive to all communication. We were happy to have her guidance on things to do in the area. We felt welcomed and in good hands. Look forward to visiting again!" -Kimberly
